Kieran founded Cannon Hill Advisors LLC in 2012 to provide the highest level of M&A advice and execution capabilities to middle and lower middle-market Defense and Security companies.
Prior to founding Cannon Hill, Kieran served as Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions for BAE Systems Inc.. He was responsible for formulating and executing BAE’s acquisition and divestiture strategy. While at BAE, he led and executed three acquisitions totaling over $400 million in aggregate value and was chosen for entry into the CEO Leadership Program.
Prior to BAE Systems, Kieran served as Vice President of Corporate Development for L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) where he was responsible for the execution of L-3’s acquisition and divestiture strategy. Kieran worked with senior management, as well as Group and Division presidents, to develop the M&A roadmap, identifying and evaluating several hundred M&A opportunities. Kieran's particular area of focus was defense electronics, including C4ISR, SIGINT, Electronic Warfare, Unmanned Systems, Precision Guided Munitions and Soldier Systems.
Prior to L-3, he served as a Principal with Washington Capital Partners, an early stage venture capital fund focusing on opportunities within the defense and security industries.
Kieran began his career in finance at Credit Suisse First Boston as an investment banker in the Telecommunications group.
Kieran earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
